What you will do
- Lead multiple engineering teams and their Engineering Managers, supporting them in career development through coaching and performance management.
- Own end-to-end project delivery for your teams, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
- Partner closely with Product, Design, Data Science, and business stakeholders to align technical delivery to business outcomes.
- Support technical direction and architecture, driving alignment in cross-team dependencies and ensuring clarity on system interactions and data flows.
- Champion engineering best practices across teams, promoting quality and fostering a culture of technical innovation.
- Drive operational excellence, ensuring robust monitoring, alerting, and incident management processes for all teams under your leadership.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and successfully delivering complex, multi-team initiatives.
- Strong record of developing people, building high-performing engineering teams, and growing future leaders.
- Ability to inspire trust and autonomy at all levels, building a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to lead confidently through ambiguity, creating clarity and momentum in complex or uncertain situations.
- Passion for driving technical and operational excellence.
- Must work from the London office a minimum of 60% of their time over a 12-week period.
