Location: Redmond, United States. This is a hybrid role, requiring candidates to work from a Microsoft office at least four days per week. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S.

Salary: USD $139,900 – $274,800 per year (general U.S. range) or USD $188,000 – $304,200 per year (San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area).

What you will do

• Design and develop the core platform for Advertiser Copilot using Semantic Kernel.
• Integrate cutting-edge Generative AI models for text, image, and video generation.
• Build scalable and efficient AI-driven workflows for campaign management within a chat-based UI.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI researchers, product managers, and UX designers.
• Ensure high system reliability, security, and performance for the AI assistant.
• Mentor engineers in the team and continuously adapt to emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
• Microsoft Cloud Background Check is required upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years experience OR Bachelor’s Degree AND 12+ years experience.
• Experience with Azure/AWS and Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment.
• Proficiency in REST API development.
• Experience with Semantic Kernel or other AI integration frameworks.
• Proven ability to build and maintain large-scale, high-availability systems.
