What you will do

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines (batch and streaming).
• Define data contracts for internal and external consumers.
• Own data quality and governance, including monitoring, alerting, lineage, and documentation.
• Create the core metrics layer that drives platform insights.
• Optimize query performance and pipeline costs as data volume grows.

Requirements

• Fluent in Python and SQL.
• Experience building, shipping, and operating data pipelines in production (e.g., Airflow, Dagster).
• Experience building and maintaining dbt models in production.
• Experience working with analytical databases (e.g., ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, DuckDB).
• Deep care about data quality.
• Self-directed, proactive, and comfortable being part of a small, autonomous team.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Haskell.
• Experience in insurtech, insurance, or related industries.
• Experience in a distributed work environment.
