Data & Analytics Engineer (AI, Data Stack)

TL;DR

Lead/Head Data & Analytics Engineer building and optimizing data infrastructure and insights for an AI-native ERP startup with an accent on full-stack analytics engineering, data modeling, and applications of ML techniques. Focus on setting up data processes, tools, and systems for scalable decision-making and driving a culture of experimental design.

Location: Onsite in New York City, New York, United States. Relocation packages are offered.

Salary: $135,000–$190,000 USD (base) + $125,000+ USD (equity)

What you will do

• Drive data infrastructure and data insights across product, engineering, GTM, and marketing from the ground up.
• Perform full-stack analytics engineering development, building models to consume, transform, and expose data.
• Work closely with different teams to capture, move, store, and transform raw data into highly actionable insights.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data, and design teams to develop prioritized product roadmaps and measure success.
• Set up data processes, tools, and systems that will allow for scalable decision-making.
• Drive a culture of experimental design, testing agenda, and best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience as a Data Scientist in quantitative fields.
• Hands-on experience with the modern data stack (Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt, Looker, Hex, Hightouch or equivalents).
• Hands-on experience with data orchestration platforms (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).
• Hands-on experience with BI tools (preferably Retool, Looker, Mode, Tableau or equivalent).
• Strong Python experience (numpy, pandas, sklearn) across exploratory data analysis, predictive modeling, and ML applications.
• Strong knowledge of SQL (preferably Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift) and how to write efficient SQL queries.
• Proven track record of shipping improvements with engineering, product, and GTM organizations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly improving, startup environment.
