Salary: $141,000–$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits

What you will do

• Design, rapidly implement, and rigorously evaluate cutting-edge deep learning algorithms and data curation for multilingual generative AI.
• Report and present research findings and developments clearly and efficiently internally.
• Suggest and engage in team collaborations to meet ambitious research goals, while driving significant individual contributions.
• Work in collaboration with Ethics and Governance teams to ensure ethical AI development.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant experience in deep learning research and development, particularly in generative AI and related to multilinguality and mixture-of-experts.
• Experience in software development with one or more programming languages (e.g., Python) and deep learning frameworks (e.g., Jax, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Track record of building high-quality research prototypes and systems.

Nice to have

• Strong interest in multilingual LLMs.
• Demonstrated experience in large-scale training of multilingual and multimodal generative models.
• A track record of research or engineering achievements, including publications.
• Experience with large-scale model training and distributed computing environments.
• Experience working effectively in a collaborative research environment.
• Experience initiating, leading, or significantly contributing to ambitious research projects.
