TL;DR

Director, Solutions Engineering (EMEA): Building and managing a high-performing team of Solution Engineers to drive adoption and expansion of Grafana products across the EMEA region, with an accent on OSS specific GTM strategies, customer success, and roadmap influence. Focus on attracting, recruiting, ramping, and mentoring the team, partnering with sales and product management, and exceeding regional financial targets.

Location: Remote, based in the United Kingdom or within the EMEA region. The role is focused on the EMEA region.

Salary: £166,500 – £200,100 OTE annually, plus Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

What you will do

  • Attract, recruit, ramp, and mentor a high-performing team of Presales Solution Engineers.
  • Lead and direct day-to-day operations and regional planning to achieve financial targets.
  • Partner with EMEA Sales leadership on customer programs, marketing, and community events.
  • Provide executive sponsorship for key accounts and act as a thought leader in the region.
  • Understand customer strategies and develop programs for Grafana technologies adoption.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to influence product roadmap based on customer feedback.

Requirements

  • Experience leading a team with 5-10 years in the high-tech industry (e.g., Developer, Architect, Sales Engineer/Architect, Manager).
  • Proven success in a fast-paced, high-growth startup, remote-first environment.
  • Track record of mentoring, developing people, and managing performance.
  • Direct experience implementing/executing a formal sales methodology (e.g., COM, Value selling, MEDDPICC).
  • Direct experience selling monitoring, data, or visualization products.
  • Ability to own a book of business and direct team initiatives to exceed quarterly targets.

Nice to have

  • Strong understanding of observability solutions, including Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki.
