What you will do

• Define the technology strategy and target architecture for the exchange.
• Build and evolve the core trading stack, including the matching engine, order management, risk management, and market data systems.
• Establish and enforce security, redundancy, and protection standards, working closely with security leadership.
• Own API strategy and integrations for users, market makers, and partners.
• Build engineering excellence through CI/CD, testing, monitoring, code review, documentation, and technical debt management.
• Lead and grow teams, focusing on performance management, mentoring, and a culture of ownership and transparency.

Requirements

• 3+ years as CTO / Head of Engineering / Lead Architect in crypto or trading, with proven delivery of a CEX/trading platform.
• Deep understanding of trading systems, including order books, settlement, and risk management.
• Experience with high-load backend and microservices, along with strong leadership and engineering culture building.
• Strong grasp of security, redundancy, and compliance requirements.
