Location: Hybrid in Belgrade, Serbia (at least 2 days per week in office)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain robust backend services using Java 21, Spring Boot 3, REST APIs, and Kubernetes.
• Take end-to-end ownership of backend components, from design to production.
• Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines in an agile Kanban environment.
• Use observability and monitoring tools to ensure system health, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with backend and frontend engineers, QA, product owners, and platform teams.
• Influence architecture, best practices, and technical decisions through team discussion.

Requirements

• Extensive experience building production-grade Java applications.
• Solid understanding of backend architecture, software design, and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, REST APIs, microservices, and networking concepts.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, tools, and modern DevOps practices.
• Ownership of components, features, or systems in past roles.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Living in Belgrade or is willing to come to the office at least 2 days per week (hybrid model).

• German or other related languages are a plus.
