Director of Ad Technology & Advertising Operations (Adtech): Leading the strategy, development, and execution of Sony's global advertising technology and operations ecosystem with an accent on programmatic monetization, audience targeting, and privacy-first data activation. Focus on defining the ad tech roadmap, optimizing advertising operations, and building a high-performing, distributed global team.

Location: Remote, required to be based in the US, UK, or Japan

What you will do

  • Define and implement the global ad tech roadmap for ad serving, programmatic monetization, and audience targeting.
  • Lead build vs. buy decisions, vendor selection, and platform integrations with Product and Engineering.
  • Own global advertising operations, including campaign execution, trafficking, and yield management.
  • Partner with data and analytics teams to develop ethical and measurable audience strategies.
  • Build, lead, and scale a global, distributed organization across the US, UK, and Japan.
  • Act as a senior partner to cross-functional teams and represent the organization with key ad tech vendors.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in ad technology, ad operations, or digital monetization.
  • Deep understanding of programmatic advertising, ad tech platforms, and yield optimization.
  • Proven experience owning and evolving complex ad tech stacks.
  • Experience leading global, distributed teams and managing managers.
  • Strong critical thinking combined with hands-on operational execution.
  • Familiarity with global data privacy and advertising regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Nice to have

  • Experience in gaming, entertainment, streaming, or premium digital platforms.
