What you will do

• Lead the design of network infrastructure across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with L&G’s technology architecture and strategy.
• Design mechanisms for rapid, delegated architectural decision-making within product and service teams to accelerate delivery.
• Develop and communicate strategies, solution designs, and architectural approaches, creating roadmaps, patterns, and standards.
• Act as a trusted authority on L&G’s infrastructure policies, providing pragmatic and actionable guidance.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of new technologies and infrastructure options, guiding teams towards effective solutions.
• Engage stakeholders and conduct appropriate testing ahead of system or business changes to understand impacts.

Requirements

• Strong, in-depth expertise across network and security technologies, including WAN, cloud environments (AWS, Azure), data centre networking, LAN, and wireless.
• Solid understanding of complementary technologies such as DNS, Active Directory, Entra ID, and proxy services.
• Extensive experience designing modern network infrastructure solutions using both cloud-based and on-premise technologies.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale network migration and transformation programmes.
• Experience working within Financial Services or other highly regulated environments.
• Demonstrated leadership in shaping, coordinating, and delivering complex network architecture initiatives.
