What you will do

• Facilitate and agree Risk Appetite Statements and Metrics for Data in Insurance, Pensions and Investments (IP&I).
• Undertake proactive Risk Oversight and Continuous Monitoring of IP&I Data & Digital environments.
• Identify and evaluate Data & Digital Risk using the Group Risk Management Framework.
• Lead a team of Data & Digital Risk Specialists aligned with Platform Teams.
• Contribute to Data & Digital Risk Oversight Strategy by anticipating emerging threats, regulatory changes, and technology trends.
• Produce Management Information (MI) and Analysis of risk concentrations, emerging trends, and loss events.
• Engage and influence stakeholders across platform and business teams to drive delivery and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Data & Digital Risk, including the use of data for direct-to-customer services via App technologies.
• Expertise in Cloud data environments, Data Governance, Data Architecture, and Data Management, with familiarity with frameworks such as DAMA or EDMC.
• Understanding of data consumption for AI, Data Privacy, Ethics, and Compliance, particularly GDPR and Financial Services regulations.
• Proven experience in risk management, including shaping risk appetite and influencing senior decision-making.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Work format: Hybrid, requiring at least two days per week at one of the hub locations in Edinburgh, Bristol, Cardiff, or Leeds.
• English: B2 required.
