Location: Hybrid role, must be based in or able to commute to Edinburgh, Bristol, Cardiff, or Leeds, with at least 40% time in the office.
Salary: £85,493 - £105,000

What you will do
- Define and maintain the Risk Appetite and Tolerance for IP&I.
- Provide independent risk oversight and constructive challenge to control owners.
- Monitor and oversee Data & Digital risk management activity and loss events.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for data and AI.
- Produce high-level analysis and MI to inform executive risk decisions.
- Lead and mentor a team of risk managers, collaborating across technical and business functions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Data & Digital Risk Oversight.
- In-depth knowledge of data architecture, management, and governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA, EDMC).
- Expertise in cloud data environments, continuous control monitoring, and data usage for AI.
- Proven leadership and senior-level stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication abilities to convey complex risk concepts to senior executives.
- Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity from Edinburgh, Bristol, Cardiff, or Leeds.
Nice to have
- Experience within the UK Financial Services, Insurance, Pensions, or Investment sectors.
- Knowledge of control automation for digital systems.
- Understanding of platform concepts and Agile working practices.
- Experience managing large-scale, complex data ecosystems involving third-party vendors.
