What you will do
- Investigate shopper behavior to understand how product changes affect user behavior and conversion metrics using SQL, Python, and Spark.
- Define and validate new metrics to measure personalization and model performance, ensuring alignment with user experience and business goals.
- Create scalable dashboards and reporting tools for various teams and develop debugging tools to explain ranking decisions.
- Partner cross-functionally to design experiments, validate hypotheses, and communicate insights to influence product roadmap and ML strategy.
Requirements
- 3+ years analyzing complex experiments and extracting actionable insights from large, noisy datasets, with experience in statistical testing and experiment design.
- Proficiency in writing optimized SQL queries for terabyte-scale data and using distributed systems like Spark.
- Strong skills in exploratory analysis, building internal tools, and experience with data science libraries.
- Understanding of ML pipelines, training data quality, and ranking/recommendation metrics, with familiarity in search relevance and personalization.
- Ability to design metrics that accurately reflect model and product performance and align technical metrics with business outcomes.
- Experience creating compelling dashboards using Tableau, Looker, or Python, and presenting complex findings clearly to diverse audiences.
