Salary: $270,000 – $310,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of mission-critical API endpoints.
• Architect and evolve systems to meet standards for scale, redundancy, resiliency, and reliability.
• Collaborate with Product, Risk, Compliance, Architecture, and DevOps teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Develop enhancements to existing Java applications and build new services from the ground up.
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and support incident remediation.
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers, allocating resources to meet delivery timelines.

Requirements

• Experience building low-latency, high-throughput distributed systems.
• Strong background in multithreading and concurrency in Java.
• Deep expertise with the FIX protocol and trading system integrations.
• Strong knowledge of Java fundamentals, data structures, and modern software engineering best practices.
• Experience writing effective unit and integration tests.
• Experience working in 24x7, highly available production environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with React and TypeScript.
• Knowledge of JMS and message brokers such as Kafka or ActiveMQ.
• Experience with Aeron or other high-performance networking frameworks.
• Experience with PostgreSQL environments.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud-native architectures.
