What you will do

• Develop and optimize data pipelines from source systems to analytics platforms.
• Design and build business intelligence solutions using Power BI with advanced DAX and data modeling.
• Implement complex SQL queries, window functions, and stored procedures for data manipulation.
• Utilize Python for data engineering, automation, and analytics tasks.
• Manage cloud data architectures and services, specifically AWS S3 and Redshift.
• Collaborate on code and manage repositories using GitHub.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or analytics.
• Expert-level SQL skills for complex queries and optimization.
• Proficiency in Python programming for data engineering and analytics.
• Experience with data orchestration tools (Dagster strongly preferred; Airflow, Prefect, or similar acceptable).
• Hands-on experience with AWS, including S3 and Redshift.
• Strong Power BI development skills, including advanced DAX and data modeling.
• Proficiency with GitHub for version control.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and ETL/ELT patterns.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
• Knowledge of ISU or utility industry data.
• Familiarity with AWS Redshift migration or cloud data migration projects.
• Experience with data quality frameworks and automated validation/testing.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for data and BI deployments.
• Experience with dbt (data build tool) for transformation workflows.
