What you will do
- Develop web applications using TypeScript and React and integrate them with third-party tools.
- Maintain and evolve distributed backend services serving millions of global players.
- Architect and own the frontend of internal tools and UI surfaces for the content publishing ecosystem.
- Drive technical design and lead the delivery of cross-discipline projects spanning several months.
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to the team's technical standards and hiring process.
- Participate in a rotational on-call schedule for live product and internal customer support.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 2+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Expertise in full-stack development using Java, React, TypeScript, CSS, and Node.js.
- Proven track record of architecting scalable solutions and leading complex technical initiatives.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, web infrastructure, and automated testing.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or comparable professional experience.
- Authorized to work in the US, specifically compliant with CA and WA state labor laws.
Nice to have
- Experience customizing Content Management Systems such as Sanity, Wordpress, or Drupal.
- Knowledge of serverless computing, including AWS Lambda or Netlify functions.
- Deep understanding of frontend architecture, performance optimization, and maintainability.
- Previous collaboration with UX and visual designers.
