What you will do

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to gather information and understand technical specifications.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, system manuals, and technical guides.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear and accessible documentation for end-users.
• Ensure all documentation adheres to industry standards, best practices, and relevant DoD regulations.
• Review and edit documentation for accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
• Continuously update and improve existing documentation based on feedback from users and internal teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in a technology-driven or defense industry environment.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills to communicate complex technical information effectively.
• Proficient with version control systems and front-end development.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Must have U.S. Person status (U.S. citizens, green card holders, or certain protected classes of asylees/refugees) due to export-controlled information requirements.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with docs as code, markdown content formatting, JavaScript, CSS, and Nunjucks templating.
• Familiarity with DoD standards and regulations related to technical documentation.
