Software Engineer, Geometry (3D): Developing robust and efficient algorithms for real-time 3D content creation and editing with an accent on convex decomposition, mesh partitioning, and discrete math computational problems. Focus on designing, coding, and testing innovative features for a core geometry engine and improving performance of existing components across all platforms.

Location: Vancouver, Canada (hybrid model with required onsite presence Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday).

Salary: $142,110 CAD (annual)

What you will do

  • Develop robust and efficient algorithms for convex decomposition and mesh partitioning.
  • Design, code, and test innovative features for the core geometry engine.
  • Solve discrete math computational problems related to geometry processing.
  • Improve the performance, robustness, and stability of existing geometry components and mesh processing pipelines.
  • Be mentored by senior engineers and actively engage in architectural discussions and system design.
  • Collaborate in a small, autonomous team to drive essential parts of the hirify.global experience.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Vancouver, Canada.
  • Possessing or pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with an emphasis on computational geometry, modeling, or simulation.
  • Highly proficient in modern C++ with a focus on writing organized, efficient, clear, and reusable code.
  • Strong knowledge of 3D math, including linear algebra (vector and matrix math), numerical solvers, and advanced data structures.
  • Familiar with computational geometry concepts, real-time graphics, or physics-based simulation.
  • Demonstrable enthusiasm for coding (e.g., through competitive programming or personal project code repos).
