Product Owner (Data Platform)

Product Owner (Data Platform): Bridging business strategy and technical delivery for hirify.global's CAP division, translating internal client needs and product vision into actionable solutions that power hirify.global businesses. With an accent on owning the product backlog, leading backlog refinement, and defining product requirements. Focus on ensuring the delivery of high-impact products that drive measurable business outcomes and solve complex business problems.

Location: Atlanta, Georgia with a hybrid work environment (at least 3 days a week in-office).

What you will do

• Translate roadmaps into actionable user stories and clear acceptance criteria.
• Lead backlog refinement by ensuring user stories are clearly defined and prioritized.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies, collaborating with engineering, design, and business teams.
• Define and validate product requirements through close engagement with customers and stakeholders.
• Plan, organize, and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Support agile project management and facilitate timely resolution of production support issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, or related roles in technology or financial services.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
• Analytical mindset with experience gathering requirements and managing backlogs.
• Understanding of modern data engineering fundamentals, including pipelines, ETL/ELT, and data lifecycle management.

Nice to have

• Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, Scrum Product Owner, CSM).
• Technical background and hands-on experience with data engineering.
• Familiarity with cloud-native data platforms and modern data stack technologies (e.g., Spark, Databricks).
• Familiarity with SQL and Python.
• Experience in capital markets, fintech, or regulated industries.
