Location: This role is based in San Francisco, CA, with a focus on the Western United States. It requires a hybrid presence in one of our offices at least 25% of the time.

Annual Salary: $265,000 - $295,000 USD

What you will do

• Execute hirify.global's state affairs strategy and policy campaigns across Western states.
• Build and maintain relationships with state legislators, governors' offices, attorneys general, and state agency leaders.
• Cultivate partnerships with external stakeholders like universities, industry partners, and advocacy organizations.
• Track and report on state policy developments, providing intelligence and analysis for company strategy.
• Monitor and engage on legislative and regulatory developments, identifying opportunities and risks.
• Represent hirify.global at regional events and translate technical research into actionable policy positions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in state government affairs, political strategy, or legislative roles.
• Demonstrated success in contributing to legislative and regulatory outcomes.
• Existing relationships with state leaders in Western states, including California.
• Strong understanding of how state legislatures and executive branches operate.
• Experience engaging with governors' offices and attorneys general on policy matters.
• Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, accessible policy positions.
