What you will do

• Lead and build science teams including Scientists, Business Intelligence Engineers, Data Engineers, Software Development Engineers, and Technical Program Managers.
• Set long-term direction and own tactical aspects of improving customer experience.
• Develop a customer roadmap and drive the development of new models and algorithms.
• Mentor Scientists and Business Intelligence Engineers on rigorous scientific methodology.
• Guide the team in latest methods for big data processing, data science literature, and experimentation.
• Piece together data from multiple sources, models, and infrastructure into cohesive end-to-end solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building quantitative solutions as a scientist or science manager.
• 2+ years of experience managing scientists or machine learning engineers.
• 5+ years of experience applying statistical models for large-scale applications and building automated analytical systems.
• PhD in computer science, mathematics, statistics, machine learning, or equivalent quantitative field.
• Knowledge of Python or R or other scripting language.

Nice to have

• Experience in at least one area of Machine Learning (NLP, Regression, Classification, Clustering, or Anomaly Detection).
• Experience with fairness in machine learning and artificial intelligence to detect and remove bias in ML/AI systems.
