Director of Information Security (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Director of Information Security (Cybersecurity): Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing enterprise cybersecurity solutions, managing architecture and engineering functions, and monitoring threats. Focus on setting strategy for cybersecurity solutions, configuring and deploying security tools, and leading incident management.

Location: Mesa, Arizona (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote). Must be locally located and only considering local Arizona talent. Not eligible for sponsorship.

What you will do

• Plan, design, and implement security measures to safeguard enterprise networks, systems, and data.
• Configure, deploy, fine tune, and monitor a wide range of security tools including SIEM, WAF, Firewall, Zero-Trust, IAM, MFA, EPP, SOAR, Vulnerability Management, Threat Intelligence, DLP, CASB, and Secure Web & Email Gateway.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices in risk management and integrate new methods as appropriate.
• Work with business line executives to provide visibility into security risks and track mitigation efforts.
• Engage with internal and external partners to design, test, and implement secure operating systems, applications, networks, and databases.
• Lead and participate in security operations support and incident management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of progressive technology experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cybersecurity engineering or architecture leadership role.
• Expert in information security management and business risk management.
• Proficiency in scripting languages that enable automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Minimum (DoD Directive 8140) certification of CISSP or CompTIA Security+.
• Experience working in a regulated industry and confirming cybersecurity practices to SOX, PCI, NIST, ISO, SOC 2.
• Must be locally located in Arizona and comfortable working a 3-day in-office hybrid model.

Nice to have

• Other security certifications, such as GSEC, OSCP, CISM.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and pay strong attention to detail.
