What you will do
- Lead and execute regulatory compliance audits, specifically for financial crime (AML/BSA) and consumer protection laws and regulations.
- Manage essential aspects of the regulatory compliance audit strategy and provide expertise in the audit approach and execution.
- Build governance and risk management processes through conducting risk assessments and driving delivery of the Internal Audit plan.
- Oversee and manage external consultant relationships as needed for audit projects.
- Develop and promote collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.
Requirements
- 10+ years in audit execution across operational, compliance, and regulatory audits, including experience managing teams.
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in a Fintech Internal Audit organization and strong knowledge of U.S. payments and banking laws and regulations, specifically FinCEN, CFPB, and FDIC.
- Experience with AML/CFT audits, technical accounting, SOX/audit methodologies, and risk management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to navigate complex situations.
