Senior Manager, Compliance (Fintech): Managing complex priorities such as new product launches, acquisitions, and geographic expansions with an accent on providing expert compliance advice for strategic projects. Focus on identifying potential risks and proposing risk mitigants that enable sustainable growth.

Location: In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment. Attendance is expected.

Salary: £153,000—£170,000 GBP

What you will do

• Support M&A pre-deal due diligence by assessing compliance policies, controls, and staff of potential M&A targets.
• Support acquisition integration by implementing compliance remediation plans, including updates to policies, procedures, training, and controls.
• Support new market entry by assessing regulatory requirements, drafting compliance policies and governance programs.
• Support new product launches by conducting compliance risk assessments and proposing incremental controls.
• Liaise with MLROs to identify potential local regulatory requirements.
• Engage with regulators or bank partners to explain how risks are mitigated.

Requirements

• Broad compliance expertise, including AML & sanctions advisory, enhanced due diligence, international regulatory compliance, etc.
• Experience assessing risks, identifying compliance gaps, and designing control enhancements to enable business growth.
• Excited to lead multiple time-sensitive projects with a sense of urgency and focus.
• Ability to foster and maintain effective working groups with key stakeholders, including corporate development, partnerships, and legal teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of institutional adoption and use cases of digital assets and the regulatory frameworks for trading, derivatives, etc.
• Knowledge of the digital payments ecosystem and the role of stablecoins in payments.
• Experience working across multiple international regulatory regimes, including the UK, EU, Singapore, etc.
