What you will do

• Own and lead hirify.global’s global regulatory strategy across payments and money transmission.
• Manage the global regulatory function, setting standards and frameworks for compliance.
• Advise executive leadership on regulatory risk, licensing strategy, and business decisions.
• Act as a senior trusted adviser to product, engineering, and business teams on payments regulation and financial services compliance.
• Identify, assess, and manage regulatory risk globally, designing scalable risk management frameworks.
• Lead global regulatory engagement, representing hirify.global with regulators and industry bodies.

Requirements

• Candidates must be based in New York or nearby locations and have strong hands-on experience with US financial regulation, including state money transmitter licensing.
• 10+ years of legal experience in financial services, payments, or fintech, with deep expertise in money transmission, payments law, and financial regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated experience leading or owning regulatory strategy at a senior level, ideally across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong understanding of payments infrastructure, money transmitter laws, and regulatory risk management in high-growth environments.
• Proven ability to balance regulatory risk with commercial priorities in fast-moving businesses.
• Significant in-house experience with excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills in payments and financial services contexts.
