What you will do
- Lead and execute regulatory compliance audits for financial crime (AML/BSA) and consumer protection laws.
- Manage essential aspects of the regulatory compliance audit strategy, providing strategic direction and expertise.
- Be proficiently knowledgeable in payments compliance for regulatory requirements across various systems and business units.
- Build governance and risk management processes through conducting risk assessments and driving audit plan delivery.
- Oversee and manage external consultant relationships for audit projects based on resourcing needs.
- Develop collaborative relationships with internal and external partners, anticipating business partner needs.
Requirements
- 5+ years in leading risk-based operational, compliance, and regulatory audits and validation work.
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in a Fintech Internal Audit organization with strong knowledge of U.S. payments and banking laws and regulations (FinCEN, CFPB, FDIC).
- Experience with AML/CFT audits, SOX/audit methodologies, and risk management in a technology, financial services, and regulated business.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration abilities to navigate complex situations.
