TL;DR
Senior Back-End Engineer (Java): Building and optimizing high-load backend services for a distributed data platform with an accent on API design, database performance, and scalability. Focus on microservices architecture, solving complex concurrency challenges, and ensuring system reliability under heavy traffic.

What you will do
- Develop new backend applications and features.
- Decompose challenging business problems into software engineering tasks.
- Optimize existing codebase for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Estimate project work effort and create development roadmaps.
- Perform code reviews and engage in pair-programming sessions.
- Collaborate with product management and other functional teams to enhance product offerings.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Java, at least 5 years.
- Experience with large-scale distributed storage and database systems (SQL or NoSQL, e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, ElasticSearch).
- Experience with message brokers (e.g., MQTT, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Worked with Version Control (preferably Git).
Nice to have
- Experience with network and/or telecom protocols.
- Good working knowledge of Angular/Typescript and front-end technologies.
- Knowledge of microservice-based, event-driven, cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with AI agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph).
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, vector databases, and RAG pipelines.
- Experience with open-source LLMs (LLaMA, Mistral, GPT-OSS, etc.).
