Software Engineer (Backend)

Software Engineer (Backend): Responsible for the technical delivery of end-to-end Instant Payments journeys and their integration with external SaaS providers, with an accent on system design documentation and collaboration with fellow engineers. Focus on building and optimizing high-load backend services using AWS Serverless technologies, GraphQL, and TypeScript in an Agile environment.

Location: Hybrid working in The Hague, Netherlands

What you will do

• Deliver end-to-end Instant Payments journeys from/to core systems and integrate with external SaaS providers.
• Document system designs using UML and C4 models.
• Collaborate with and influence fellow engineers, adhering to company standards and best practices.
• Contribute to resolving common engineering challenges across business lines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working as a backend software engineer.
• Hands-on experience building with AWS Serverless technologies, GraphQL, and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with design patterns such as Event-Driven architecture, Microservices, and Distributed Transactions.
• DevOps mindset and knowledge about secure software architectures and patterns.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment with collaboration and continuous improvements.
