Information System Security Officer (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Information System Security Officer (Cyber-Intel): Supporting the deployment of software for government customers by achieving Authorization to Operate (ATO) and ensuring security policies and settings are in place. Focus on interpreting security requirements, building standardized security documentation, and managing remediation of vulnerabilities.

Location: Onsite in Washington, DC with active U.S. DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required. Must be at customer site 5 days per week.

What you will do

• Achieve Authorization to Operate (ATO) for Palantir software across multiple government customers.
• Partner with engineers to analyze software, interpret security requirements, and plan effective control implementations.
• Provide customer service, policy expertise, and high-quality security documentation.
• Serve as the primary in-person point of contact for U.S. Government customers on cybersecurity and compliance.
• Independently interpret vulnerability scanning findings (ACAS, SCAP) and manage Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M).

Requirements

• Active U.S. DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Active DOD 8140 or 8570 Certification (e.g., CISSP or Security+).
• Active IAT II certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience directly supporting a customer’s ATO/RMF process.
• Proven experience using eMASS or XACTA accreditation management software systems.
• Ability to be at customer site 5 days per week.
