TL;DR

Data Manager (Apprenticeships): Take ownership of data processes and systems supporting apprenticeship delivery, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and visibility from enrolment through to completion. Focus on designing and embedding scalable data infrastructure, leading on ILR submissions and reporting, and providing insight that enables confident decision-making.

Location: Hybrid working model, 4 days a week from the London office. 2 weeks per year can be worked from anywhere.

What you will do

  • Own the end-to-end management of the Individualised Learner Record (ILR), including submissions and resubmissions.
  • Ensure learner data is accurate, complete, and compliant with ESFA and DfE funding rules, maintaining audit readiness.
  • Design and manage reporting frameworks to support levy drawdown, compliance monitoring, and operational performance.
  • Build dashboards and tools that surface meaningful insight across learner progression, risk, and funding eligibility.
  • Provide timely, visual data to support monthly and quarterly performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and regulators to ensure compliant and audit-ready apprenticeship programmes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience owning data and reporting within a funded apprenticeship environment.
  • Demonstrable experience managing end-to-end apprenticeship data, including ILR submissions, resubmissions, and validation.
  • Strong working knowledge of ESFA funding rules, PDSAT requirements, audit evidence packs, and compliance expectations.
  • Experience supporting Ofsted readiness through accurate, consistent, and well-governed data.
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining reporting frameworks and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Excel, or similar.
  • Experience working with MIS platforms and external systems providers, acting as a knowledgeable point of contact.
