TL;DR

Senior Backend Engineer (TypeScript/Rust/AWS): Building and optimizing stable, scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud backend services with an accent on API development, performance optimization, and observability. Focus on microservices architecture, integrating AI-assisted development practices, and contributing to a unified architecture for automated testing solutions.

Location: Hybrid (Tampere, Finland) with remote working options. The team collaborates across time zones.

What you will do

Contribute to the delivery of hirify.global Robotic Testing features.
Implement reusable components aligned with the hirify.global Unified Architecture.
Deliver backend services with well-documented REST and GraphQL APIs.
Deliver measurable performance improvements to enhance system responsiveness and scalability.
Adopt and promote AI-assisted development practices, leveraging Copilot and Cursor.
Improve system stability by implementing logging, error tracking, and performance metrics.

Requirements

Fluency in more than one programming language (TypeScript and Rust particularly valued).
Experience with AWS services, PostgreSQL, and other databases.
Experience in building containerized microservices with Kubernetes orchestration.
Proficiency in REST/GraphQL integrations with a sharp focus on security and performance.
Expertise in AI-assisted development and a strong CI/CD mindset.
Passion for delivering high-quality, secure code and a bias for action and collaboration.

Nice to have

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field.
Python programming language.
