TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (PropTech): Building and optimizing high-quality software solutions for a modern estate agency platform with an accent on best programming practices, scalability, and platform enhancement. Focus on working at scale, processing large data volumes, and contributing to technical direction.

Location: Hybrid (up to 4 days WFH), Manchester. Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.

Salary: £55,000–£75,000

What you will do

  • Build and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Drive best programming practices within the team.
  • Work at scale, building tools and systems for large data volumes.
  • Act as a technical peer to team leads, contributing to technical direction.
  • Drive platform enhancement and continual upkeep for optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with commercial colleagues to build a best-in-class product.

Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience as a Senior Software Engineer.
  • Proficiency in PHP and Laravel.
  • Experience with Vue or similar frontend frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud computing services (AWS and/or GCP).
  • Advocacy for best practices including Agile, TDD, and OOP.
  • Strong empathy, communication, and collaboration skills.
