AMS CAD Intern (AI)

Location: Santa Clara, CA. This position may require access to technology and/or software subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, therefore applicants must be eligible to access export-controlled information as defined under applicable law. hirify.global may be required to obtain export licensing approval, and applicants who are not U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals may be subject to an export license review process prior to employment.

Salary: $27-$55 per hour.

What you will do

• Write and test Python and SKILL code for simulation-related tool development.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss progress and receive mentorship.
• Assist in integrating AI techniques into existing design and simulation flows.
• Learn and apply best practices in software development and tool automation.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a focus on VLSI design and AI/ML applications.
• Academic coursework in VLSI, analog/digital circuits, and semiconductor fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with Cadence Virtuoso ADE and Spectre for circuit simulation.
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, and optionally SKILL.
• Demonstrated interest in AI/ML, with experience building applications or models.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating AI/ML into design automation or simulation workflows.
• Familiarity with data analysis or visualization tools.
