Staff Experience Designer

TL;DR

Staff Experience Designer: Defining and shaping product strategy across a technology workforce development platform with an accent on driving key business results and mentoring other designers. Focus on conducting design research, applying insights to generate hypotheses, and developing strong platform-level experience patterns and standards.

Location: Remote (USA); however, applicants located within 45 miles of our Westlake/Dallas, TX office should expect to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.

Salary: $147,400–$204,700 USD annually

What you will do

• Coach and work with teams on critical initiatives, facilitating cross-team collaboration.
• Define, guide, and conduct design research with product teams to address key product questions.
• Apply research findings and insights to generate hypotheses and concepts that drive strategic progress.
• Develop strong platform-level experience patterns and standards using strategic and architectural methods (IA, OOUX).
• Partner with design systems and operations to integrate experience architecture with interface patterns.
• Inspire teammates to adopt new methods and tools, anticipating new platforms and techniques.

Requirements

• 8+ years experience in UX Design or 6+ years with an advanced degree.
• Experience leading on Design Principals for junior to senior staff.
• Must be based in the USA.
