TL;DR

Senior Operational Tax Manager: Managing global operational tax compliance obligations and leading tax support for new product launches with an accent on US withholding tax, AEOI reporting (FATCA/CRS/CARF), and UK ISA. Focus on refining existing processes, designing new ones, and navigating complex cross-functional processes.

Location: Hybrid working model with 3 days in the office in Cannon Street, London.

What you will do

  • Manage the Group’s day‑to‑day global operational tax compliance obligations.
  • Lead support for tax requirements arising from new product launches.
  • Oversee US tax obligations related to US WHT as a QI and QDD, including annual filings, audits, and KYC data collection.
  • Manage Group-wide AEOI reporting obligations (FATCA/CRS/CARF), from data capture advising to report preparation and filing.
  • Advise on UK ISA and Other Interest returns and suitable controls.
  • Monitor and advise on updates to the German withholding tax system and assist client teams with year-end statements.
  • Lead tax advisory on ad-hoc projects and implementation of business initiatives, including setting up in new jurisdictions.
  • Liaise with IT and Front Office teams to build systems/solutions for operational tax calculation.
  • Review monthly/annual tax calculations, payments, and returns to Italian authorities (Financial Transaction Taxes, Capital Gains Tax, Wealth Tax).
  • Ensure operational tax governance across business stakeholders and document controls.

Requirements

  • ACA/CTA qualified or equivalent (8+ years’ experience in financial services tax).
  • Strong analytical skills with a natural curiosity to question and dig deeper.
  • Excellent communication style and a collaborative mindset for effective working relationships.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong data management skills with attention to detail.
  • Adaptable and enjoys a dynamic, rapidly changing working environment.
