TL;DR

Operations Senior Associate (Fintech): Overseeing daily operations for equities and derivatives business, including customer onboarding, trade routing, and outsourced service delivery with an accent on ensuring compliance with service level agreements and regulatory requirements. Location: In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment. Attendance is expected and fully supported.

Salary: £81,630—£90,700 GBP

What you will do

• Oversee daily operations for equities and derivatives business, including customer onboarding, trade routing and outsourced service delivery.
• Act as a first line of defence in identifying and escalating operational issues, ensuring timely resolution with internal and external partners.
• Monitor the performance of intra-group outsourcing arrangements to ensure compliance with service level agreements and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Product teams to ensure processes meet MiFID and FCA standards.
• Produce and maintain operational MI (management information) to track performance, incidents, and customer outcomes.
• Lead or support process improvement projects to strengthen controls, reduce manual effort, and improve customer experience.

Requirements

• Prior experience in financial services, ideally within capital markets, trading, or post-trade operations.
• Strong understanding of operational processes around order flow, settlement, or derivatives trading (experience with MiFID products a plus).
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to structure and interpret data to generate insights.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy is critical.
• Self-starter with a willingness to learn, take ownership, and grow with the business.

Nice to have

• Comfort working with spreadsheets and data tools (SQL experience desirable but not essential).
• Experience working with or overseeing outsourced service providers is an advantage.
