Location: Must work onsite at Taguig City, Philippines

What you will do

• Provide first and second line technical and functional support for a complex FX/MM electronic trading application.
• Troubleshoot problems using technical skills like Unix, SQL, XML, FIX, and Java.
• Advise on implementation of investment banks' business processes using acquired business knowledge.
• Communicate professionally with investment banks' IT and business staff.
• Research problems, test solutions, and make recommendations to customers.

Requirements

• Understand client/server applications.
• Have a good understanding of Unix and SQL and be interested in learning programming.
• Display the lateral thinking required to solve complex technical problems.
• Be able to write clear, professional, and timely responses to customer questions.
• Able to work in shifts including weekends (24/7 coverage is provided by the desk).

Nice to have

• Unix command line skills.
• Basic knowledge of FX.
• Ability to read and interpret source code and review logs.
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP networks and HTTP(S).
• Experience of writing Java applications.
