Network Administrator (AI/Robotics)

TL;DR

Network Administrator (AI/Robotics): Accountable for the availability, security, and performance of our network infrastructure and systems with an accent on building networks that are simple, scalable, and highly available. Focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining LAN, WAN, WLAN, VLAN, VPN, and firewall services across on-prem and cloud environments and ensuring high uptime and robust security.

Location: On-site in Vancouver, BC

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, VLAN, VPN, and firewall services across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Operate Fortinet and Juniper-based infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance, bandwidth, and capacity, and troubleshoot complex connectivity issues.
• Partner with Security to implement best practices, conduct vulnerability scans, and patch network and Linux systems.
• Support hybrid cloud networking (AWS and Azure VPCs) and manage virtualized environments (VMware, KVM, Proxmox).
• Create and maintain documentation, mentor junior administrators, and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• 5+ years in a Network Administrator or similar role in production environments.
• Strong Linux administration skills (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL, or similar).
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and enterprise firewalls.
• 5+ years managing Fortinet and/or Juniper environments.
• Experience with network monitoring (PRTG, Zabbix, Prometheus), scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Ansible), and hybrid cloud networking (AWS and/or Azure).
• Familiarity with identity & access protocols (LDAP, Kerberos, SAML, MFA).

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications like CCNP, RHCSA/RHCE, CompTIA Security+, CISSP.
• Knowledge of high availability design and disaster recovery planning.
• Experience with container networking (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Previous experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, SaaS).
