Windows Server Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Windows Server Engineer (System Engineering): Designing, operating, and continuously improving a large-scale Windows Server environment, including deep troubleshooting, performance analysis, and root cause investigations. Focus on ensuring stability, security, automation, and operational excellence across on-premise VMware and multiple cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and AliCloud.

What you will do

• Support and develop Active Directory infrastructure and core Windows services.
• Act as an expert in troubleshooting Windows system stability and performance, performing deep root cause analysis.
• Manage Windows OS lifecycle, compliance, and patching automation using SCCM.
• Take ownership of security aspects of Windows Server infrastructure, collaborating with the Security team.
• Design and implement automation for operational tasks using PowerShell, SCCM, and Ansible.
• Participate in designing and improving infrastructure solutions with a focus on scalability and resilience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Windows System / Server Engineer in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
• Hands-on experience with Certificate Services (AD CS), including troubleshooting and debugging.
• Deep troubleshooting skills using Sysinternals, xPerf, WPA, WinDBG.
• Strong PowerShell automation skills (3+ years of practical experience).
• English: B2+ required.
• Must be able to work onsite in Limassol, Cyprus.

Nice to have

• Relevant Microsoft or cloud certifications.
• Experience with high-availability, performance-sensitive, or regulated infrastructures.
• Ansible automation experience.
• Experience with VCS (Git) and modern SDLC/DevOps practices.
• Citrix administration experience.
• Hands-on experience with System Center products (SCCM/SCOM/SCVMM).
