Software Engineer (GraphQL)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (GraphQL): Contributing to the finalization and launch of Viaduct Modern, a major rewrite of the GraphQL platform aimed at significantly enhancing the developer experience for hundreds of engineers across hirify.global with an accent on developer experience. Focus on driving partnerships with tenant product teams and improving reliability and performance through Viaduct framework changes and tenant-centric observability.

Location: US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an hirify.global office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. While the position is Remote Eligible, you must live in a state where hirify.global, Inc. has a registered entity.

Salary: $191,000—$225,000 USD

What you will do

• Drive partnerships with tenant product teams to inform the tooling roadmap and address metrics and tracing scaling challenges for observability infrastructure.
• Define project requirements for improving reliability and performance through Viaduct framework changes and tenant-centric observability.
• Develop technical expertise in Viaduct framework, informed by product teams’ use cases and requests.
• Support Viaduct developers and ensure their code gets deployed daily to production.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in a relevant role, ideally in a team that owned a developer platform.
• Proficiency and interest in working cross-team with both product and infrastructure engineers.
• Experience operating critical online backend services.
• Comfort shipping high visibility, complex coding projects.

• Expertise with GraphQL, Kotlin, AI-enabled development flows.
