Technical Support Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Provide data analysis, report writing, file management, database auditing, and technical support to broker clients and partners.
• Monitor daily file feeds for timeliness and accuracy, assisting clients in troubleshooting issues.
• Learn how the software meets accounting, legal, tax, and regulatory requirements, helping customers with setup.
• Test, document, and escalate unresolved customer cases, including product defects or data issues, to engineering and product management.
• Act as a subject matter expert for product and engineering teams on available features within the system.
• Prioritize and manage customer cases using Salesforce case tracking system.

Requirements

• Proficiency and experience with SQL, FTP, data management, and file interfaces.
• Familiarity with relational databases, including data analysis, report writing, auditing, and updating data via SQL scripting.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and functions for data analysis.
• Strong work ethic, time management expertise, and well-developed problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, phone, and conversation management skills for interacting with external clients and internal stakeholders.
• Fluent English Speaker.

Nice to have

• Exposure to, or experience with, agile methodologies and environments.
• Salesforce and Jira application knowledge.
• Understanding of or experience with the executive compensation, stock plan, and ESPP industries.
• Knowledge of finance and accounting principles, specifically ASC 718.
• Certified Equity Professional designation.
