Network Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Collaborate with Platform Engineering to ensure high availability and reliability of network and platform infrastructure.
• Design and implement new systems and services that comply with reliability and scalability standards.
• Develop and maintain monitoring protocols, incident management, and troubleshooting procedures for network infrastructure and applications.
• Participate in on-call rotations, responding to high-severity incidents to maintain system availability.
• Use observability tools to assess system performance and health, implementing necessary improvements.
• Design and automate processes and tools to enhance efficiency and minimise downtime.

Requirements

• Experience with multi-vendor network devices such as Cisco, Meraki, and Fortinet.
• Knowledge of GCP and AWS Cloud environments, with a focus on network, multi-cloud and on-premises connections, and VPN solutions (Google BeyondCorp, VPN-SSL).
• Minimal knowledge level equivalent to CCNA, including routing protocols (Static Routes, OSPF, BGP, Redistribution) and filter technologies (Access-list, Prefix-List, Route-Maps).
• Experience with GCP, AWS firewall rules and Fortigate devices.
• Experience with network documentation standards (High-Level, Low-Level, Network Implementation/Migration Plan, Change Request).
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and implement network architecture for projects of simple to medium complexity.
• Written and verbal communication skills in English required.

Nice to have

• Experience in the FinTech industry.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Experience with DevOps tools and DevSecOps practices.
• Skilled in Shell Scripting or Python Software Development.
• Knowledge of Spanish.
