Location: Hybrid in New York, NY. This is a US-based role, requiring active membership in at least one US jurisdiction.

Salary: $255,000–$275,000 a year

What you will do

• Advise a variety of stakeholders across product, engineering, marketing, GTM, commercial, legal, and compliance teams on compliant product launches.
• Provide counsel on a broad range of issues including consumer protection, financial regulation, AI regulation, privacy laws, intellectual property, contractual obligations, and marketing laws.
• Formulate creative solutions to ensure product compliance while delivering strategic business objectives.
• Develop comprehensive training and playbooks for hirify.global’s product suite to ensure scalability of legal advice.
• Partner with hirify.global’s Privacy & Compliance team to implement best practices, including privacy & compliance by design.
• Negotiate and/or draft new terms and conditions, contractual, and partnership agreements related to product launches.

Requirements

• Strong academic background, JD, and active member in at least one US jurisdiction.
• 7+ years of experience, including at least 2 years at a consumer-facing technology company in a product counsel or generalist role.
• Experience launching consumer fintech, card, or payments products, with knowledge of FCRA, TILA, and Fair Lending Laws.
• Tech-savvy with an interest in emerging global AI frameworks and fintech/payments.
• Proven ability to partner with diverse stakeholders, particularly product, engineering, privacy, and compliance teams.
• Strong ability to balance risk whilst achieving business objectives, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
