Location: Hybrid (Warsaw, Poland) with in-office days Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Salary: 29,000–32,917 PLN gross monthly (UoP).

What you will do

• Set technical direction and ensure effective problem-solving for the team.
• Design and build core platform reliability systems (e.g., load shedding, circuit breakers, rate limiting) at scale.
• Own ingress/egress and traffic flow within hirify.global's systems.
• Define stable interfaces and libraries for other platform teams.
• Lead end-to-end projects from scoping to rollout across multiple platform teams.
• Elevate technical quality through code reviews, design discussions, and mentorship.
• Partner with infrastructure teams to integrate reliability as a core architectural constraint.
• Debug complex, critical system failures and implement preventative measures.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background with production code experience.
• 8+ years of experience building and operating backend systems at scale.
• Experience leading technical projects and influencing cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with distributed systems patterns (e.g., backpressure, graceful degradation, capacity planning).
• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), Terraform, and monitoring tools like Datadog.
• Experience defining and working with explicit reliability and performance targets.
• Clear communicator and strong collaborator.
• This is a software engineering role; not for primary scripting, dashboards, or operational playbooks.
