Engineering Manager (ADAS)

Engineering Manager (ADAS): Leading and scaling distributed event systems and massive data pipelines for HD map generation with an accent on applying experimental AI/ML solutions at massive engineering scale. Focus on continuously delivering millions of KMs of HD data and ensuring end-to-end quality goals by driving technical excellence and team development.

Location: Belgrade, Serbia (hybrid, two days a week in office)

What you will do

• Manage multiple engineering teams directly and be accountable for their outcomes.
• Provide deep technical, architectural, and domain-specific guidance to facilitate resolution of complex challenges.
• Collaborate with senior management and staff engineers to simplify complexity and drive prioritized product deliveries.
• Set guidelines for developers, challenging and improving software engineering practices within the department.
• Identify growth opportunities, empower team members, and coach them for continuous success.
• Define team topology and staffing plans, focusing on team health, career planning, and performance management.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software development, including 2+ years as a line manager of a high-performing engineering team.
• Solid software development background, including data pipelines, distributed systems, design patterns, and test-driven development.
• Ability to assess team impact and experience turning experiments into value-added production features.
• Highly empathetic, an excellent communicator, and a true role model for leadership principles with a passion for people management and mentorship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Science or a related technical discipline.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development lifecycle.
