What you will do
- Serve as the vision holder for the product brand, ensuring alignment with core values, target audience, and market positioning.
- Act as an expert of the Chinese gaming market and fans, utilizing insights to inform strategy and communication.
- Develop and own comprehensive go-to-market and marketing plans for key gaming titles from concept to completion.
- Oversee the execution of marketing campaigns, including digital and physical strategies, collaborating with agencies and partners.
- Manage marketing budgets for assigned titles and markets to ensure financial success and profitability goals.
- Build relationships with influencers, media, and promotional partners to enhance brand visibility and engagement in China.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in brand management or marketing in the video game or entertainment industry.
- Proven success in developing and managing go-to-market plans and digital marketing campaigns.
- Strong understanding of brand strategy, positioning, communication, and creative asset development.
- Demonstrated ability to manage marketing budgets for major projects.
- Exceptional leadership and project management skills for complex, cross-functional campaigns.
- Passion for video games and deep understanding of Chinese gaming culture, audience behavior, and industry trends.
Nice to have
- Experience with China-specific platforms (WeChat, Weibo, Bilibili, Douyin, TapTap) and NPPA regulations.
- Experience with first-party marketing partnerships (PlayStation, Xbox, Steam).
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools, analytics, and campaign tracking systems.
