Location: Hybrid work in Chemnitz, with offices also available in Berlin, Dresden, and Leipzig.

What you will do

• Lead the implementation of scalable backend services and AI-native applications.
• Act as the technical special forces solving complex architectural puzzles across high-priority teams.
• Partner with PMs and ML engineers to turn experimental AI ideas into high-availability, production-grade services.
• Take ownership of the end-to-end pipeline from data retrieval and ingestion to monitoring token usage, cost, and latency.
• Design and build complex conversational states, multi-agent communication protocols, and the infrastructure that supports them.
• Champion engineering excellence and influence the org’s technical direction.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Experience: Proven track record in backend software development.
• Expert-level proficiency in GoLang in microservice architecture.
• Hands-on experience building, deploying, and scaling AI-native applications in a production environment.
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and high-concurrency systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM observability and evaluation frameworks (e.g., Langfuse, Arize Phoenix).
• Proven ability to optimize RAG pipelines for both latency and cost.
• Familiarity with building multi-agent workflows (e.g., using LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar).
• Experience building internal SDKs or libraries that help other engineering teams adopt AI features faster.
