What you will do

• Contribute to the development and expansion of the hirify.global Economic Index with reports and industry analyses.
• Design and conduct empirical research on AI's economic effects using novel data and privacy-preserving measurement systems.
• Develop new methodologies to study AI's impact on labor markets, productivity, inequality, and economic trajectories.
• Build causal-inference tools to evaluate economic consequences of hirify.global’s products and compute usage.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve measurement infrastructure and data collection.
• Engage externally through research publications, policy briefs, and presentations.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or able to work in San Francisco, CA, USA with hybrid office attendance.
• PhD in Economics with strong empirical research background.
• Experience with econometrics, causal inference, machine learning, and large-scale data analysis.
• Technical proficiency in Python, R, SQL or similar tools.
• Ability to lead complex research projects and communicate findings to diverse audiences.
• Interest in AI’s societal impact and working with AI systems critically.
