TL;DR

IT Systems Specialist: Providing frontline hardware and software support to team members both remotely and in-office, managing core tools like Okta and Google Workspace, and maintaining IT inventories. Focus on independent troubleshooting, supporting automation initiatives, and collaborating on strategic IT projects.

Location: Hybrid (Irvine, California) with 3-4 in-office days per week. Must be legally authorized to work and reside in the United States. No visa sponsorship or employment outside the U.S. is supported for this role.

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 USD + equity + benefits + potential discretionary performance bonuses.

What you will do

  • Provide friendly and efficient day-to-day hardware and software support to team members both remotely and in-office.
  • Manage and troubleshoot core tools and services including Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, Unity, Zoom, Atlassian products, and Microsoft 365.
  • Provide field support for MacOS and Windows PC environments, including setup, troubleshooting, updates, data migration, and MDM platforms.
  • Maintain hardware and software inventories and document IT processes.
  • Support and collaborate with the IT team on automation initiatives and strategic projects.
  • Stay current with IT best practices and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and support processes.
  • Familiarity with common business software and SaaS applications.
  • Working knowledge of both MacOS and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with basic troubleshooting and problem-solving in Mac and PC environments.
  • Experience in a helpdesk or customer support role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, patient, and service-oriented attitude.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in an IT role.
  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in the United States.

Nice to have

  • Experience with specific tools like Okta, Google Workspace, or Slack.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with IT security best practices.
  • Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) systems.
