What you will do

• Build and maintain production-quality backend game services.
• Design a comprehensive services architecture for live-service games (including sessions, matchmaking, player data).
• Collaborate daily with a cross-disciplinary team to design services features.
• Write clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation and communication.
• Calmly deal with production incidents and participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Production experience with distributed systems in a high-scale, high-latency environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical customers.
• Ability to diagnose complex system failures using logging and metrics.
• Ability to write, debug, and maintain code in Rust.
• Embrace a “we” culture and be an outstanding collaborator and communicator.

Nice to have

• Experience with “games as a service” online game development.
