Senior Implementation Consultant (Healthcare IT): Implementing and configuring Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for healthcare institutions with an accent on digital transformation, system configuration, and workflow optimization. Location: Remote role, open to candidates based in Canada or the U.S. Travel to Canada may be required for U.S.-based candidates.

What you will do
- Implement Altera software solutions, primarily Sunrise EMR (Core and Ambulatory), for client sites in Manitoba.
- Perform project workplan tasks as a vital member of a larger project team.
- Perform complex system configuration tasks and provide high-level technical guidance to clients.
- Provide expert workflow consultation and guidance, translating paper-based clinic workflows to optimized electronic formats.
- Proactively identify, resolve, and/or escalate system and complex workflow issues.
- Provide comprehensive activation support and manage client expectations with diverse stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience required.
- 2+ years of hands-on healthcare IT implementation and configuration experience.
- Strong, demonstrated functional knowledge of an EMR/EHR system.
- Experience working as part of a formal implementation project team that has successfully rolled out EMR systems.
- Proven client presentation experience and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Project management experience, skilled at managing numerous key priorities simultaneously during long-term implementation cycles.
- Must be able to work remotely from Canada or the U.S.
- Willingness to travel 10-15%, primarily for critical on-site support during final go-live activities.
- U.S. candidates must possess a valid passport and be willing to travel to Canada as required.
Nice to have
- Specific expertise in Altera Sunrise EMR (Core or Ambulatory).
- Experience with Epic or Meditech coupled with deep knowledge of essential clinic workflows.
- Clinical background (SME who has rolled out clinics).
- Technical background (e.g., SQL or SSRS reporting).
